George Davis guilty of the highway robbery of Josiah West of the Cirencester Mail at Iver on 18th April 1754: robbing him of a leather mail (valued at 20/-) and 20 leather bags (valued at 20/-), the property of the King. After execution his body was hanged in chains on Holtspur Heath.
