Clare Montford found guilty on an indictment for a burglary in the dwelling house of Charles Crampion in the parish of Langenhoe on 30th October 1790: stealing therefrom a watch with silver cases (valud at £3), a seal set in base metal (value at 3d), a steel watch seal (valued at 1d), a pair of gold earrings (valued at 2/-) and £73.17.6d in money numbered - the and goods, chattels and money of Charles Crampion; and a watch with silver cases (value at 30/-), a piece of steel called the swivel gate of a seal (valued at 1d) - the property of William Houchin valued at £1.10.1d.
