Wasyl Gnypiuk murdered Louise Surgey 62.
He was homeless and had burgled her house for a place to sleep. He claimed that whilst he was sleeping he dreamt that he was attacked by something and had defended himself from it, and when he woke up he discovered the dead body of Louise Surgey, the owner of the house.
He then decapitated her and buried her head in a nearby wood and her body in a shallow grave near the house. He also stole money which he used to pay off debts and give to his wife.
The body was soon discovered and he was convicted of murder.
