John Walpole found guilty on an indictment for breaking into the dwelling house of Henry Warner in the parish of Messing on 19th August 1740; and stealing therefrom 6 lbs of pork (valued at 3/-), 1 Portuguese gold coin (value 36/-), 6 gold guineas and 17/6 in money numbered, the goods and money of Henry Warner; and 1 gold Moidore (value 27/-) and 5 gold guineas, the money of John Warner.
