John Jones in the parish of St Asaph on 6 December 1783 at 2 in the night
burglariously entered the dwelling house of Margaret Griffiths and stole 1 silver sixpence, 95 copper halfpennies, 4 yards of ribbon (value 1/-) and a wooden drawer called a Till (value 3d) (WALES 4/1011/1). He was ordered for execution on Monday 10 May but this was postponed to Tuesday 11 May (WALES 14/85). The postponement was reported in Adam's Weekly Chester Chronicle.
