Piotr Maksimowski murdered his girlfriend Dilys Doreen Campbell 30 whose throat and wrists he cut in a wood at Bowerwood, Beaconsfield on 31 December 1949. He body was found in a glade in the wood after hw went to a police station to make a statement.
