William Thompson, aged 27, found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of John Leigh in the parish of Battersea on 9th July 1787: robbing him of a linen shirt (valued at 5/-), a muslin waistcoat (valued at 5/-), a pair of silk stockings (valued at 5/-), a man’s hat (valued at 10/-), 3 muslin neckcloths (value at 7/6), a night gown trimmed with cambric (value at 5/-), a muslin cap trimmed with lace (valued at 5./), a hair fillet (valued at 6d), a silk ribbon (valued at 6d), a cambric handkerchief (valued at 5/-), a lawn handkerchief (valued at 2/-), 3 printed linen handkerchiefs (valued at 3/-), pair of stained leather slippers (valued at 5/-) and £1.9/- in money numbered. He was also found guilty on the previous indictment with Richard Thomas.
