Edward Lanigan, aged 26, Michael Casey, aged 42, and James Marshall, aged 26, found guilty on an indictment for the murder of an unknown man whose throat was cut by Edward Lanigan, the others aiding and abetting him, in the parish of Thursley on 24th September 1786. Their bodies after execution to be hanged in chains on the hill in Hindhead.
