Elizabeth Lavender, aged 19, found guilty on an indictment for the murder of her bastard male child, by stabbing and cutting his throat with a knife, in the parish of Fairlight on 20th January 1799; having given birth during the night of 19/20 January. Afterwards her body to be dissected and anatomised.
