William Darby, aged 30, found guilty on an indictment for breaking into the dwelling house of James Huddle in the parish of  Uckfield on 3rd December 1783: and stealing therefrom 2 check linen aprons (valued at 18d), a woman’s linen cap (valued at 6d) and 1 yard of silk ribbon (valued at 2d).
