Richard Tomkins (otherwise Richard Thompson) found guilty on an indictment for being found at large in the Kingdom having been sentenced to death at the Middlesex Sessions on 18th October 1775 for the theft of a cow (valued at £5), the property of William Stapp in the parish of Hornsey on 10th August 1775, which sentence was later commuted to one of transportation.
