George Chapman and Richard Double (reprieved) were found guilty on an indictment for aiding and abetting the murder of Thomas Carswell by George Kingsmere who shot him in the right side of his body, in the parish of Salehurst on 26th December 1740 (year 14).  He was ordered to be executed on Saturday 19 August.
