Friday, 4 August 1786 (Cambridge Chronicle) George Miller, aged 18, guilty of the murder of Elizabeth Hunt, aged 18, in the fens about ½ mile from Reach, throwing her into Reach lode, dragging her through the water and cutting her throat on 4th July (Cambridge Chronicle Sat 8th July 1786). Elizabeth Hunt was buried at Burwell on 6th July.
