Owen Davidlate of the parish of Bodedern in the county of Anglesea on 18 December 1784 burgled the house of John Davies in the parish of Llanuwchllyn and stole therefrom of the goods of John Davies:-

The sentence passed was that he should be hanged on 3 May 1785. The Quarter Sessions papers record he was kept in gaol until 3 May (two other prisoners convicted at the same time of non-capital crimes were kept in gaol till at least 15 July) when he disappears from the records. I have not traced either a respite or a reprieve.
