William Wheler (or William Grymston) of Toddington, Beds, yeoman, indicted for highway robbery. On 5 November 1575 he assaulted James Nuthed, servant to Thomas Clarke of London, goldsmith, in Buckland Lane and stole from him a silver-gilt salt cellar (£4 7s. 4d.), a silver-gilt lid for a cup (33s. 4d.), 2 silver-gilt goblets (£10), a silver cup (£5 10s.), a silver-gilt cup (£6 5s.), a silver bowl (£3 8s.), a silver-gilt ewer (£10), 13 gold rings (£5 10s.), 58 silver-gilt rings (£50s.) and 24s. in money.
He confessed and was convicted to hang. Execution not confirmed.
